Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026.

Short version: I run this site by myself, I collect very little, and I do not sell or share your information. Here is exactly what happens, so there are no surprises.

Who I am

This is brandoncoles.com, run by Brandon Coles. If I say “I” or “my” below, that is me. To reach me about anything in this policy, use the contact form.

What I collect

Contact forms. If you write to me through a form on this site, I receive the name, email address, and message you type in (the form may also ask for a phone number). WordPress emails that to me. The form plugin does not keep a copy in the site database. I use it only to reply to you.

Server logs. My hosting provider, Hostinger, automatically logs basic technical details for every visit, such as IP address, browser, and pages requested. This is standard for any website and is used for security and keeping the site running.

Analytics. Right now I do not run any analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If that changes, I will update this page before it does.

Cookies

Visitors do not get tracking cookies from me. Cookies are used only if I log in to manage the site. If I add anything beyond that, I will say so here and ask first where the law requires it.

Other sites that see your visit

Google Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google, so your browser makes a request to Google servers, which includes your IP address.

Embedded content and outside links. Some posts embed things like YouTube videos, and the footer links to GitHub, Instagram, and Pinterest. Those sites run by their own rules and may set cookies or track you once you load or visit them. Check their privacy policies.

Who I share it with

Nobody for marketing, and I never sell your data. Your information goes only to the services needed to run the site and read your messages: Hostinger (hosting) and my email provider.

How long I keep it

Messages sent through the contact form stay in my inbox for as long as the conversation is useful, and I delete them on request. Server logs are kept by the host for a limited time under its own policy.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Send the request through the contact form and I will answer. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict how your data is used, and to complain to your local data protection authority. My legal basis for handling form messages is your request to contact me (legitimate interest in replying).

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If I change how the site works, I will update this page and the date at the top.
